GENERAL INFORMATION

ONLY PAID REGISTERED EXHIBITORS (that have a booth/table for displaying their carvings and are present during the Show) MAY ENTER THE JUDGING COMPETITION.

No ribbons from previous shows may be displayed (including a LOWC Show).

The Show Committee and Judges reserve the right to accept or reject entry or entries.

Each category will be announced and it is the carver’s responsibility to have their entries at the judging table five (5) minutes prior to judging for each category.

No more than two exhibitors per booth.

Displays must be setup by Show opening and may not be disassembled before close of Show at 3:30 p.m.

It is up to the participant to collect and report any sales tax.

Each exhibitor will be provided a name tag. All name tags will be collected at the end of the Show.
CATEGORY REGULATIONS

Woodcarvings that fit into a specific category must be entered in that category. No exceptions. The judging committee reserves the right to reject an entry or to move it into the most appropriate category. If that category has already been judged, the entry will not be judged. If you have any questions about a category, talk to the Show Clerk(s)/Monitors located in front of the stage, prior to the start of judging.

Original designs, rough-outs and instructor assisted carvings are acceptable. The aim of our Show is to be an enjoyable, learning experience for all skill levels. We leave the determination of excellence to the discretion of the Judge.

After a category has been announced for judging, all entries for that category must be at the check-in table five (5) minutes before judging of the category begins.

If you have two or more woodcarvings that fit in a single category, you must choose which carving you wish to enter and have judged.

A public address system will be used to call for categories to be judged.
JUDGING RULES AND REGULATIONS

ONLY PAID REGISTERED EXHIBITORS MAY ENTER THE JUDGING COMPETITION.

All entries submitted for judging must be wood and carved, wood burned, painted, finished by the exhibitor.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded in each category.

A Best of Show ribbon will be awarded and selected from 1st Place/Blue Ribbon winners.

An exhibitor may submit only one (1) entry into each category.

No carving may be entered into multiple categories.

All woodcarvings entered must have been COMPLETED WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS and cannot have PREVIOUSLY BEEN ENTERED OR WON A RIBBON in a prior Show held by the Lake of the Ozarks Woodcarvers Club.

The artist’s name must be covered prior to bringing the entry to the judging table.
THE PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD
The PEOPLES CHOICE award will be given to a woodcarving voted best by Show attendees. Before the Show begins, please designate (label will be provided) which piece you would like entered in the PEOPLES CHOICE contest.
ANY DECISION OF THE SHOW JUDGE IS FINAL
